5 Claude Code repos you need

Five useful repositories I have been exploring while learning my way through Claude Code.

I have been spending a lot of time inside Claude Code lately, and some of these repos have genuinely changed how I work.

So I went looking for the ones that are actually useful, not just the ones everybody keeps mentioning.

Here are five worth knowing.

5 things I would actually keep

These solve very different problems.

Some help Claude plan. Some give it better skills. Some help it remember. Some help it understand the code and documentation around it.

That is what makes them interesting.

01Workflowobra/superpowers

Superpowers

Claude is very good at jumping straight into the work.Sometimes that is exactly the problem.

Superpowers gives Claude a more disciplined way of working: think first, plan properly, build, test and review.

For me, that matters because I would rather spend a few extra minutes planning than spend an hour fixing something that should never have been built in the first place.

Why it matters

It gives the work some structure.

Claude is still doing the heavy lifting, but it is not just charging ahead blindly.

02Officialanthropics/skills

Anthropic's own skills

Sometimes the best place to start is with the people who built the thing.

Anthropic's skills collection gives Claude extra abilities for working with things like Word documents, Excel files, PowerPoint, PDFs and other tasks.

This one is less about making Claude clever and more about giving it useful tools for real work.

Why it matters

I like official resources because there is less guesswork.

If Anthropic is showing you how they expect these capabilities to work, that is worth paying attention to.

Claude Mem

the one that made me stop and think

One of the most annoying things about working with AI is having to explain yourself again.

And again.And again.

Claude Mem is built around persistent memory, so Claude can carry useful context from one session into another.

That becomes very interesting when you are working on a project for days or weeks instead of having one short conversation.

Why it matters

If I spend three days teaching Claude how a project works, I do not want to start from zero on day four.

04Documentationupstash/context7

Context7

AI can write code very confidently. That does not always mean the code is correct.

Libraries change. APIs change. Documentation changes.

Context7 helps Claude work with current library documentation instead of relying only on what it already knows.

That is a very useful difference when you are building with modern tools.

Why it matters

I would rather Claude check the documentation than confidently invent a function that stopped existing three versions ago.

Number 5 is still being added.

So, where do you start?

Do not install everything at once.

That is one of the easiest ways to turn a useful tool into another thing you have to manage.

Start with the problem you actually have.

One useful tool that solves a real problem is worth more than twenty tools sitting in a folder you never open.

I am still exploring this whole space myself. And honestly, that is part of the fun.
